Growing up in Canada and attending a French school, she is fully bilingual and brings a deep understanding of the French language and culture to her teaching. Amelia is deeply passionate about pursuing a career in the art world. She currently works in the Impressionist and Modern Art department at Sotheby’s auction house in London, and previously gained valuable experience at Bonhams in Paris during her year abroad.
In her free time, Amelia enjoys visiting museums, watercolour painting, and running. She remains highly engaged in the francophone culture, as demonstrated by her enthusiasm for French literature and cinema. A keen reader of Marcel Proust—on whom she wrote her dissertation— and Gustave Flaubert, she also has a strong interest in French Nouvelle Vague cinema.
