Teaching experience

James is a highly experienced tutor specialising in French and Spanish.

James began tutoring privately in 2018 and has since accumulated hundreds of hours of one-to-one teaching experience. He strongly believes in the importance of finding the right way to teach each and every student. This approach is characterised by a focus on tailoring concepts to individual learning styles, as well as open and frank student interaction. James has helped students aged 8-18 find a way to understand their subject and maximise their potential.

James offers specialised support for admissions to the University of Oxford and Cambridge, helping students navigate the rigorous application process with confidence.

Extra-curricular interests

James is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Sustainability Management at the UPF Barcelona School of Management. His thesis is examining the extent to which AI can be implemented effectively to fight climate change. 

James has been an avid rower throughout school and university. He is a 2-time Junior European Champion and spent two years rowing for Oxford University Boat Club. With the move to Barcelona James is attempting to become half-decent at Padel. The jury is still out. James is a big fan of hiking, running and just generally messing about outdoors.
