Teaching experience
Ned is Head of English, Humanities, and Verbal Reasoning tuition at Nestor.
Ned began tutoring privately in 2020, after developing a love for teaching at the Dyslexia Teaching Centre in Kensington, where he supported children with acute special educational needs and disabilities in English, Mathematics, Physics, and Physical Education. Since then, he has completed 200 hours of one-to-one tuition, working with children as young as 6 and as old as 18.
Wonderfully kind, phenomenally patient, extraordinarily dedicated, and exceptionally learned, Ned believes strongly in making learning as enjoyable and horizon-expanding as possible.
He is loved by clients for the reassurance he offers nervous parents and the transformative effect he invariably has on children’s results and broader intellectual interests.

Extra-curricular interests
Ned is a voracious reader and film-watcher, with a particular penchant for the novels of Joseph Conrad and HBO’s The Wire. A lover of classical music, he can also often be found humming to the operas of Verdi or Donizetti and playing the piano. The remainder of his free time is typically given over to fitness, rugby, and cricket. It is his great regret that his skill in the latter seems to be diminishing every year.

‘Ned has been super valuable, and I fully endorse his help and advice. I listened in to some of his session with my daughter — he is great.’ — Mother of Year 13 student
